12 Ways to Give Back This Holiday Season

Volunteer this special season to make the holidays brighter for others…and brighter for you at the same time. Select something for you to do or better yet, get your friends, co-workers, or family together for a project.

  Buy a Christmas “Love Tree” gift for an older adult who is home bound, widowed, living in a nursing home, or otherwise alone. Call Pam at 245-6177 for more details.
 
  Prepare and serve food and help in other ways during our December 13 Christmas Dinner Party for the women and families we serve. Call Amy at 255-0611.
 
  Spread holiday cheer by buying, wrapping or delivering donated gifts to Big Sky Senior Services clients. Call Suzanne at 259-3111.
 
  “Adopt” a family and shop for Holiday gifts or for the makings of a Christmas meal for the family. Call Jennifer at 384-0060.
 
  Help serve a full Holiday dinner to children and families in need. We also need help setting up and before and cleaning up after the dinner. Call Megan at 869-1220.
 
  Run games and craft stations, serve food, and interact with youth and their families during our December 22 Christmas party! Call Matt at 259-5569.
 
  Opportunities to assemble & take down the US Marines Toys for Tots toy store are available. Call Amanda at 252-1855 or Jennifer at 384-0060. 
 
  On December 18 & 19 help parents find free gifts for their children in our Angel Tree toy shop. Call Bethany at 281-7480.
 
  Participate in The Salvation Army’s 126th year of bell ringing to raise money for the homeless and low-income members of Yellowstone County. Every dollar donated in the red kettle stays in our community. Call Bethany at 281-7480.
 
  Resolve to volunteer at least 4 times in 2018. Visit the new and improved www.YouCanVolunteer.org to find volunteer opportunities that suit your skills and interests!
 
  Help with special activities and events at the museum. Be sure to volunteer when the Grinch visits on Dec 23! Call Veronica at 657-8289.
