Iron Chef

Give your company's gourmets a chance to show off. Host a cooking competition, and ask participants to bring a crock-pot filled with their favorite recipes which will be judged by a panel of judges. Or provide ingredients and make it a microwave or "E-Z Bake Oven" cook-off.

Reality Campaign

Get "real" with your employees and host campaign with a theme centered on reality TV. Activities might include a "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" trivia contest, a "Survivor" obstacle course, an "Amazing Race" scavenger hunt, or predictions for who will win the "American Idol" contest.

Baby/Pet Picture Match Game

Invite employees to try their luck at matching baby or pet pictures to pictures of employees. Make it a fundraiser by inviting employees to donate a small fee to vote and award a fun prize to the participant with the most correct answers.

Book, Music and Video Sale

Have employees donate books, CDs, videos, or DVDs for a company or department-wide sale, with proceeds earmarked for Mile High United Way.

Back to School

Collect school supplies for a Mile High United Way partner. Invite an agency speaker to talk about recent results in the area of early learning and literacy. Hold a  spelling bee or email community pop quizzes to employees and award prizes.

Ice Cream Social

Set up an ice cream bar with a variety of favorite toppings. Make it a fundraiser by charging a dollar a scoop or a food drive by asking people to donate nonperishable
foods to the local food bank.

Team Spirit Tailgate

Invite employees to wear their favorite team gear on a Friday. Host a "Tailgate Party" during the lunch hour asking employees to bring their favorite dish to share. Host a sports trivia contest.

Executive Chair or Tricycle Race

Set up an office relay course for participants to go through, either sitting in a chair or on tricycles. Let employees "bet" on their favorite contestants.

Waffle/Pancake Breakfast

Sell tickets and have people sign-up for their choice of pancakes or waffles. Cook breakfast in your company cafeteria. Don't forget bacon, sausage,
butter etc. Each department can donate an item. Include a raffle with prizes like lunch with the CEO, coffee and newspaper delivery for a week, a vacation day, or casual dress day.

Auction Hotline

Invite employees, vendors and local businesses to contribute items for an auction. Set up a special voice mailbox or web page with weekly messages announcing auction items. Update the recorded message daily, announcing the highest bids received to date. Each Friday announce auction results for the week and next week's items.

Guess How Many

Fill a jar with M&M's, jelly beans, etc. Whoever comes closest to the actual number of items gets to take the jar home with them. However, each guess will require a donation.

Team Chia Pet Contest

Employees will need to divide into teams and choose a team captain. Each team will care for and provide food, clothing and shelter for their Chia pets (sun lamps, Rapid Grow, and sweet-talking are all fair game). Judges will need to be chosen for the contest; results can be announced at a closing luncheon, winning team receives an extra hour added to one of their lunch hours.

United Way Idol

Model your campaign after the popular TV show. Search for your own starts within your company by holding a karaoke contest, talent show or best United Way supporter contest!

Puppy Love Pet Look-A-Like Contest

Ever hear that a lot of pets look like their owners and vice-versa? Test this theory by having employees try their luck at matching a pet picture to its correct owner. Award a prize to the contestant with the most right answers and maybe provide gift certificates to owners who look the most like their pets.

"Music Mania!"

Have a decoration/costume contest, give a musical trivia test, play musical chairs, have a karaoke contest, play music CD's at meetings. Invite agencies to be judges.

50's, 60's, 70's, 80's

Wear decade attire; have a sock-hop, disco, or twist contest; have a lunch with hot dogs and chocolate malts; dress in fluorescent colors. Have fun!

Chili Cook-off

Employees sign up to bring homemade chili for lunch at the office. For those who just want to help, ask them to bring napkins, utensils, and bowls. Donations such as breadsticks, cheese garnish, sour cream, and beverages may also be added to the luncheon. Spice up the event by encouraging a western theme with employees dressing up in cowboy hats and bandanas. Bowls of chili are sold for a set price such as $2 a bowl.
