Jeans/Casual Day for United Way
Jeans/Casual Day for United Way is a quick and very easy event that allows employees to purchase the right to wear jeans, casual clothing, or just something different to the office for the day.
The date you hold your Jeans/Casual Day is completely up to you. You can run Jeans/Casual Day weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or as a one-time event with all proceeds going to your Employee Campaign. Proceeds can be sent to United Way on a regular basis or held in an account until your next Employee Campaign.
Jeans/Casual Day is designed as a simple pre-packaged event that is a way to organize for any campaign. It is an excellent boost for workplace needing a special event to push their campaigns over the top. Sell jeans/casual day badges allowing employees to dress casually on certain days.
Organizing A Jeans/Casual Day
Secure permission from your supervisor or CEO to have a Jeans/Casual Day at your workplace. Put up the poster and sell as many stickers as you can prior to your designated Jeans/Casual Day. Be sure everyone knows how your workplace defines acceptable casual attire.
On your Jeans/Casual Day, make sure every participant wears their sticker. Stickers are available through the United Way Campaign office. To order your stickers today, call 252-3839 ext 10.
Only the employees who purchased a sticker should be able to wear jeans or casual clothes on your Jeans/Casual Day. No tax receipt can be issued for sticker purchases. Record proceeds in the special events space provided on your Employee campaign Report form.
