March Against Drugs and Violence

This annual event raises awareness about a particular drug problem and the consequences of drug abuse and violence in general.

The focus in 2012 was prescription drug abuse.  In the months leading up to the march, a concerted effort was made to educate senior citizens who are especially vulnerable to having their medications stolen.

The march itself is always the second Saturday of June on the Courthouse lawn and usually attracts from 300-400 people.  Volunteers and participants are always needed!
