Wells Fargo Honored for Volunteer Engagement

Wells Fargo honored for volunteer engagement locally and nationally

 

In 2012, 331 Wells Fargo team members volunteered 8,000 hours to help local agencies according to Patrice Elliott, District President and United Way Board member. They would like to see these numbers increase  20% in 2013. Team members were eligible in 2012 to two paid days of leave from work in order to improve our community, she added.

 

“These generous gifts from our team members play a vital role in helping us strengthen our communities,” said Jon Campbell, head of Government and Community Relations at Wells Fargo.

 

United Way Worldwide recognized Wells Fargo nationally for their volunteer efforts with the Summit Award for volunteer engagement. Wells Fargo was also recognized for having the largest workplace giving campaign in the U.S. for four years in a row.
