Forms You Will Need
Agency Checklist
Eligibility Requirements:

Have a representative from your agency attend a Day of Caring 2015 orientation.

Be registered and active on YouCanVolunteer.org on July 13, 2015 and maintain active status through Day of Caring on September 17, 2015.

Assign a project coordinator for your project. If your project(s) are at separate locations, assign a coordinator for each location. This project coordinator must be onsite during the project.

Carry adequate liability insurance.
Planning and Registering Your Project:

Plan meaningful project(s) for your agency to host that will last 3 ½ to 4 hours.

Have these details available at the time you register:
o a short detailed description of your project
o a catchy title with your agency name
o number of volunteers needed to complete your project
o agency coordinator name and e-mail
o the project’s category (financial stability, school readiness, or youth success)
o an alternative project for inclement weather conditions
o any special requirements of volunteers
o number of agency staff/volunteer participants at your agency and their T-shirt sizes

Plan a small presentation about your programs to share with your volunteers when they arrive at your worksite.

Complete your Project Registration by July 29, 2015.
Once Your Project is Registered:

Secure individual waiver and photo releases from each participant at your agency.

Purchase all supplies for your project.

Coordinate a site visit and go over the Site Visit Checklist with the business team leader who has chosen your project no later than September 10, 2015.

Attend the United Way of Yellowstone County Open House and turn in all individual release forms and pick up T-shirts on September 10, 2015 from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm at 2173 Overland Ave.
Day of Caring Schedule:

Attend the Day of Caring “kick-off” luncheon at the Shrine Auditorium 11:30-1:00pm.

Present your presentation about your programs to volunteers when they arrive and thank volunteers when they leave.

Provide any task and safety training to all volunteers prior to start of project.

Arrange refreshments for your team of volunteers.
