The Holiday Book Drive is back for 2026! Thanks to our partners at Barnes and Noble and This House of Books, we're connecting local kids with the gift of reading this holiday season. Here's how it works:
✏️ We collect requests for age-appropriate books for local kids
📖 Through Dec. 13, purchase a book at Barnes and Noble (530 S. 24th St. W) and This House of Books (116 N. 29th St. Suite B) to donate.
🎁 We distribute books to local families for kids to receive as gifts.
Last year, our generous community donated more than 1,200 books! Talk about Holiday Spirit!
Why books?
🧱 Even before children can read, being read to helps them build literacy skills and strengthens family bonds
📊 Children who don't read on grade-level by third grade are unlikely to catch up and often miss out on educational opportunities.
🎉 Reading is fun!
