Leadership Matters
Nonprofits do critical work in Yellowstone County, working to help people meet basic needs, improve their lives, and make our community a better place to live. At United Way of Yellowstone County, we're committed to helping fellow nonprofits strive to meet our missions.
In partnership with the Billings Community Foundation, we're offering a new Nonprofit Leadership Training series. UWYC will host a six-part training for nonprofit leadership staff, which the BCF will host a training for board members. The trainings are designed to work in concert, sharpening skills and giving organizations new tools from both staff and board perspectives. Each session builds skills in leadership, strategy, operations, and people management. Each session includes opportunities for networking, peer case studies & learning, practical tools and templates, real-time coaching.
Lunch will be provided, and slots are limited to 15 people. The application deadline is Jan. 8.
Thank you to Western Security Bank for sponsoring this training cohort!

Nonprofit Empowerment
At United Way of Yellowstone County, partnering with nonprofits is essential to our mission. We work with on-the-ground experts that offer direct services to our community to advance our own goals, and we're invested in supporting a wider nonprofit community.
We've previously offered training from the Chamber of Commerce in the role of board members, from Stonerock Solutions for grant writing, and have an ongoing training series for volunteer coordinators.
