UWYC has partnered with Tumbleweed to provide programing and safe housing for at-risk youth and young adults. 

Tumbleweed's Programs

  • Chafee Foster Care Independence Program
    • Provides supports to help foster care youth transition to a healthy and successful adulthood.
  • Domestic Victims of Human Trafficking
    • Individualized advocacy based on identified needs
      • Behavioral health
      • Medical and dental services
      • Educational and employment assistance
      • Life skills training
  • Drop-In Center/ Youth Resource Center
    • Offers an opportunity for youth to meet their basic needs in a low-barrier, safe and secure environment.
    • Youth have access to food, clothing, and hygiene items in addition to shower and laundry facilities
  • Transitional Living
    • Youth gain and practice independent living skills in a community-style setting with onsite staff support and case management. 
  • Youth Homelessness Prevention - Crisis Intervention
    • Emergency services for youth and families during times of conflict and crisis, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
