United We Read

United We Read is back for 2026! Join us on Mar. 6, 2026 to read to kids in local schools. This is a great volunteer opportunity to help give back to children in our community! Registration is now open; click here to sign up.

Why is reading to kids important?

  • Reading helps kids develop not only language skills, but other brain functions like emotional regulation.
  • Hearing stories helps spark kids' curiosity and imagination, building positive feelings about reading.
  • When adults model good reading habits, kids are more likely to become lifelong readers.

Thank you to our generous sponsors!
