Maybe superheroes is laying it on a little thick, but we have high hopes for our new Community Housing Navigators. On July 8, United Way of Yellowstone County announced that it will fund four of these new jobs at three local nonprofits: one at Family Promise of Yellowstone Valley, one at Homefront, and two at HRDC7.

Avery Nelson is about 6 years removed from wearing diapers. Yet, she and her friends collected more than 2,000 diapers for the Community Diaper Drive. It’s a remarkable display of community service from a trio of elementary school students that’s quickly developing a reputation as some of the most reliable volunteers in town.
These two things are indisputable, iron-clad, set-in-stone-on-a-mountaintop-facts.
